OVERVIEW

Lucas Official is a Tennessee-based artist, producer, radio-host, and founder of BluLight Official Music Co., known for his authenticity and poetic expression. He is located in Knoxville, TN, and also in Jackson, TN. His mission is to redefine rap music.

BACKGROUND & ORIGINS

Originally from Virginia Beach, VA - Lucas Official is heavily influenced by icons such as Pharrell Williams and Clipse, however he also draws influence from artists such as Eminem, Token, and J Cole. He started making music his freshman year of high school as a way to express his emotions and share his beliefs.

SOUND & STYLE

Growing up on the so called "Music Highway" (I-40) that runs between Memphis, Jackson, Nashville, and Knoxville- Lucas grew up in an environment with a rich musical heritage. This geographical placement coupled with his love for philosophy has bred an interesting mixture of Conscious Rap and Southern Hip-Hop, which defines Lucas's signature style and sound.

PHILOSOPHY

Lucas Official is far from "just another rapper." His core beliefs are constantly being pushed by his music and his movement, R.E.P. which signifies a reformation of hip hop culture. His music represents what hip-hop could be, a positive dissemination of knowledge and experience through poetry.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Over the years Lucas Official has been a part of many shows, playing at parties, bars, an even festivals. His most notable crowd being the JAX-MAC Festival, in front of hundreds. He also appeared on WBBJ Channel 7 News as a guest with Don't Waste My Time Music.

CURRENT FOCUS

Lucas Official recently released his debut studio album "Existential Fears" on January 15th, 2026, and has many more exciting projects on the way, with a potential next album being centered around conscious material.

He is currently a student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, studying Music Business Administration and hosting his radio show "The Official Come Up" on 90.3 The Rock. He is also a contributing member of the Music Industry Club (MIC).
